Great Smoky Mountains National Park stretches across the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, protecting a broad section of the southern Appalachian Mountains. The park is known for forested ridges, mist-covered peaks, clear streams, and an exceptional variety of plant and animal life. Its landscape changes with elevation, from rich hardwood forests in the valleys to spruce-fir forests near the highest summits.

Zaamin is a mountain district in eastern Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh Region, known for its forests, highland landscapes, and traditional villages. The area lies around the Turkestan Range and is closely associated with Zaamin National Park, one of the country’s protected mountain areas. Zaamin has long been regarded as a destination for fresh mountain air and outdoor recreation, while its villages retain agricultural traditions and a quieter rural character.

The Alabama Hills are one of Lone Pine’s most recognizable attractions, with rounded orange and brown rock formations set against the steep Sierra Nevada. The Quiver Tree Forest, located just outside the town of Keetmanshoop in southern Namibia, is one of the country's most captivating natural wonders. This unique forest is home to hundreds of towering quiver trees (Aloe dichotoma), some of which are estimated to be over 200 years old. These trees, named after the San people who used their hollowed-out branches as quivers for arrows, are an iconic symbol of Namibia's arid landscape.
