Cuiabá is the capital of Mato Grosso in central-western Brazil and an important gateway to the Pantanal, Chapada dos Guimarães, and other natural areas of the state. The city developed around gold mining and later became an important regional center along the Cuiabá River. Its historic center contains colonial churches, traditional houses, and public squares, while newer districts extend well beyond the old city.

The popular resort Fethiye boasts an imortant marina at the head of a beautiful bay strewn with islands. A hill crowned by teh ruins of the crusader fortress built by the Knights of Rhodes overlooks the little port.

Njalo Island is a small inhabited island in Lake Chilwa, in southern Malawi’s Phalombe District. Situated in the lake’s open waters, it is part of a wetland landscape shaped by changing water levels, shallow channels, marshes, and seasonal fishing activity. Fishing provides an important source of food and income, while boats are essential for transport between the island and mainland communities.

St. Martin is a unique Caribbean island that blends two distinct cultures within a single destination. The northern side, Saint-Martin, is an overseas collectivity of France, while the southern side, Sint Maarten, is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
