The beach curves gently along Fort-de-France Bay, with pale sand, calm coastal waters, and views across the bay toward Fort-de-France and the Pitons du Carbet. Unlike more secluded beaches on the island, Anse Mitan is closely integrated with the surrounding resort area, with hotels, restaurants, shops, and water-sports facilities along the shoreline.
